Quality Standards

The gold standard in custom industrial nameplates and labeling.

A Quality-Focused Manufacturing Partner

Quality is more than inspecting a finished part. It begins with understanding what the part needs to do and carrying those requirements through the manufacturing process.

Depending on the project, that may include reviewing:

  • Drawings and specifications
  • Material requirements
  • Dimensions and construction
  • Applicable customer, quality, or compliance documentation
  • Adhesive or mounting requirements
  • Graphics, markings, and variable information
  • Environmental exposure
  • Application and end-use requirements

Quality Built Around Your Requirements

Every nameplate, label, and identification program starts with clearly defined requirements.

U.S. Nameplate Co. works with customers to understand the part, application, environment, and performance expectations before production begins. That requirements-first approach helps support consistent quality, reliable repeat production, and a smoother path from specification to finished part.

Whether you are sourcing a new component, replacing an existing supplier, or managing an ongoing production program, our team helps make sure the right requirements are understood from the start.

ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System

U.S. Nameplate Co. maintains an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system. ISO 9001 provides a structured framework for managing quality processes, documentation, continuous improvement, and customer requirements.

For customers, that means working with a manufacturer that follows an established quality-management system designed to support consistent processes and ongoing accountability.

ISO certification applies to the quality management system and should not be interpreted as certification of every individual product, material, construction, or application.

Quality Starts With the Specification

Different applications create different requirements. A metal identification plate used on industrial equipment may have very different performance needs than a flexible safety label, graphic overlay, or other identification component.

That is why our team evaluates the requirements that matter to the specific program rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
Product and Material Requirements
The intended material, construction, finish, and appearance of the part.
Application Environment
Where and how the product will be used, including relevant exposure or operating conditions.
Attachment and Mounting
How the part will be applied or installed, including adhesive or mechanical attachment requirements when applicable.
Graphics and Information
Logos, safety information, serial data, operating instructions, rating information, or other required markings.
Production Requirements
Quantities, repeat-order needs, documentation, inspection requirements, and other program-specific considerations.

Compliance and Recognition Requirements

Some projects may involve customer specifications, industry requirements, material declarations, recognized constructions, or other compliance-related documentation.

These requirements can vary significantly based on the material, construction, end use, and individual program. If your project has a specific compliance or documentation requirement, include it with your RFQ so our team can review the applicable requirements with you.

Examples may include:

  • UL-related requirements
  • RoHS documentation
  • REACH documentation
  • Customer-specific specifications
  • Material or supplier documentation
  • Other application-specific quality requirements

UL-Related Applications

Certain projects may involve UL-recognized materials or constructions.
Applicability depends on the specific product construction, materials, end use, and recognition conditions involved. A general UL reference should not be interpreted as meaning every U.S.

Nameplate product or construction carries the same recognition. If UL recognition is required for your project, send us the applicable drawing, specification, or requirement so our team can review the request.

Documentation for Your Program

Quality and compliance documentation should support the requirements of the specific project.

Available documentation may vary by product, material, supplier, construction, and application.

Our team can help identify which available documents are relevant to your program based on the requirements you provide.

Have a Quality-Sensitive Project?

Send us what you have. A drawing, specification, photo, existing part, or approximate quantity can give our team a strong starting point for understanding your requirements.

We can then help determine what additional information may be needed before quoting or production.
