Digital printing is a marking process that should be evaluated as part of a complete industrial identification requirement. The artwork matters, but so do the substrate, surface, environment, finished construction, geometry, and way the part will be used. A review record should also identify who owns each open item. Artwork approval, application decisions, regulatory interpretation, and specification authority remain with the customer’s authorized stakeholders.
